Living the Dream Volleyball Tournament to Benefit Gift of Life and Lebanon County Special Olympics
Glen Weaver II was the restaurant entrepreneur of Weav’s Place, Lebanon, PA. Tragically, Glen was involved in a car accident in May 2011 that took his life. To celebrate Glen’s love of life and volleyball, the Living the Dream volleyball tournament was created. Ten pre-registered volleyball teams will battle it out at the Word of Life Center (WOLC) located at Mount Zion Road Church of the Brethren (MZR COB) located in Lebanon, PA. Tournament start time is 8:30 AM on Saturday, November 16. Come enjoy Weav’s Place favorite menu items such as The Big Weav, The Arlington, Mac Attack and hand cut French Fries from 11 AM to 3 PM. All proceeds will go to the Gift of Life ( and the Lebanon County Special Olympics ( The Gift of Life program increases organ donor awareness and education. The Special Olympics offers year round sports programs to individuals with intellectual disabilities. For more information, call 717/865-1377.

Charity Bazaar, Craft Fair and Homemade Chicken Pot-Pie Dinner
The Mount Zion Road Church of the Brethren (MZR COB), from Lebanon, PA, will hold their annual Charity Bazaar and Craft fair in their Word of Life Center (WOLC). Doors to the bazaar and craft fair will remain open from 1:00 to 7:30 PM on Friday, November 22nd. Come shop at over twenty different tables of crafters and home-based businesses. In addition, homemade baked items and white elephant items will be available. At 4:00 PM, the homemade chicken pot-pie supper will be served. Dinners include All-You-Can-Eat homemade chicken pot-pie, a roll and butter, a side order of coleslaw and applesauce, and a drink. Adult dinners are $7.00 and children ages 5-12 are $4.00. Cold pot-pie quarts are available for take-out at 1:00 PM. Crafters and home based businesses committed to the event include: Nancy Dombach’s Handmade Items, Pampered Chef, Betty Miller’s Homemade Items, Looms, Thirty-One Gifts, Ann Descheler’s Ribbon Necklaces and Scarves, Berks County Farm Women Group #11, Yesterday’s Treasures, Gift Cards Galore, Tupperware, Dottie Shollenberer’s Crafts, Sienna Soap Works, Save the Storks, Lisa’s Floral Creations and Pink Zebra.
